1. How would you design a cell membrane that would allow you to move more material through the membrane faster without taking more space?
2. Desmosomes, gap junctions, and tight junctions connect cells to one another. What examples can you find in your external environment of analogous structures that fit each cell connection type?
3. Would an intravenous injection of a 0.85% NaCl solution give the same osmotic pressure to the cells of the bloodstream as a 0.85% NaCl dextrose (glucose) solution? Is the osmotic pressure of 0.85% NaCl and 5% dextrose the same?
