Knowing which tactics to use for reaching agreement on a labor contract when there is an impasse takes knowledge and skill. To gain additional understanding of dealing with an impasse, in this activity you will summarize the impasse resolution procedures and find real-world examples of each.

Write a paper on the three types of impasse resolution procedures. Address the following topics:

Briefly describe the similarities and differences between these three impasse resolution procedures: mediation, fact-finding, and interest arbitration.

Conduct an Internet search for one real-world example of each procedure.

Summarize each example obtained in the second step of this assignment, including whether the resolution procedure was successful or not.
