a) Determine the reaction forces at the pin joint at B and the roller support at J.

b) Determine the zero-force members.

c) Determine using the method of joints, the forces in members IJ, IG and IH. Show which of these members is in tension and which are in compression.

d) Using the method of sections confirm your answers for the force in the member IH.

a) Determine the projection of the tension force onto the diagonal axis CD of the door.

b) Determine weight of the door. Door weight is uniformly distributed over its area. The door is hinged along the whole corner line (shown by red colour).
