Water Quality Dataset Information - Water quality samples were collected from two river systems on 12 occasions in 2011 and 2014-15. Surface water samples at a depth of 10 cm were collected, and a range of in-situ and ex-situ measurements taken. Sampling dates are included in the dataset. Sampling names can be grouped as follows:

A number of water quality variables were collected from the sites in the field - Secchi depth, temperature, pH, conductivity, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity. Water samples were also collected and returned to the lab to analyse for total suspended solids (TSS), total nitrogen (TN), NOx (bioavailable nitrogen), total phosphorus and SRP (bioavailable phosphorus), and chlorophyll a which is a measure of algal biomass in the water column.
