While working with individuals that have a dual diagnosis (Mental health condition and a developmental disability) it is best practice that we work on a team. As Nugent (2013) discussed as Disability Workers we will be involved in the information gathering to collaborate with medical and mental health professionals to support in creating a plan that includes; "medical, psychiatric and behavioural" (p. 285).
