Instruction

You are asked to review 5 academic journal articles on a given research topic and write a short Introduction. You are asked to adopt a systematic approach to this desk-based research/mini literature review. You will need to demonstrate prescribed steps in the process, which you will demonstrate in three mandatory Appendices, and which will substantiate a part of the assessment.

The purpose of this assignment is to develop students' skills in the following four areas:

1. Searching for credible good quality academic articles and make justified choices (recommended to use Business Source Complete)

2. Read research papers with understanding and succinctly present the focus and argument of each academic paper identified as suitable for answering the assignment question. In doing so, you will practice to identify arguments, paraphrase ideas and articulate key points efficiently, synthetise, appreciate evidence and data source used to arrive to conclusions/recommendations and appreciate the expertise and source credibility (750 words)

3. Make a visual logical mind map or a concept map of emerging arguments and evidence showing connections between literature reviewed and identified arguments (evidence of comparing and contrasting academic papers)

4. Write a short Introduction to the assignment topic (250-300 words) positioning an argument supported by the literature reviewed (and with appropriate in-text citations), which could be further developed and presented in a full assignment format. 2.
