You have been working as a correctional officer for about 6 months when you are transferred to a new unit. There you meet, Steve Doe, who has been a correctional officer for 10 years and has been assigned to the female dorm/pod for the last two (2) years. Steve tells you during your second shift that he has fallen in love with one (1) of the female inmates and that they have been maintaining a physical relationship for the last six (6) months. You are immediately concerned since he supervises the inmate on a daily basis but he tells you that is okay because they are both adults and both in a consenting relationship. He asks you not to mention the relationship though because there have been some in the past who looked down on their relationship. After your second week you are called into the Warden's Office where you are asked about the relationship. How would you describe the actions of Officer Doe?
