Learning Outcomes -

Assessment Task Description -

You are to write case study showing your knowledge of a specific real life-entrepreneur. It can be a person of your own choosing, or you may select someone already mentioned in the lectures and tutorials. If you have any doubt about the suitability of your choice, please consult with your lecturer or tutor for advice and approval.

The case study should provide a brief summary and overview of this person's work and achievement, drawing on reliable information sources and properly referenced.

If the person you choose to study is known for more than one enterprise, you may choose to focus on one specific business or innovation of theirs. As part of your case study, you must address the following specific questions:

Q1. What observation or observations (about the current state of affairs) do you think the founder of this business may have made prior to their business being established?

Q2. What insight or insights do you think may have followed on from the initial observation?

Q3. Did he or she experiment or test their ideas in any way before proceeding? If so, how?

Q4. What 'business model' does this person employ in their enterprise? What is their 'revenue model'?

Q5. Is there any evidence you can find that this person is planning for the next phase of their business? If so, how?

Q6. What overall lessons might be drawn from the experience of this person and their business, for the benefit of future entrepreneurs?
