Liquid Sodium is used to cool a nuclear reactor. Liquid sodium enters a heat exchanger at 2 bars and 400C. It exits (is cooled) the heat exchanger at 320C. The heat that is removed from the liquid sodium is transferred to the water contained in the outer jacket of the heat exchanger. The waters enters the heat exchanger at 100 bars and 49C and leaves as a saturated vapor at 100 bars. The mass flow rate of liquid sodium is 10000 kg/hr and it has a constant specific heat of 1.25 kj/(kg K). The pressure on the liquid sodium of the heat exchanger is constant between inlet and outlet. Neglect kinetic and potential energy changes. Determine:

a) The mass flow rate of the water

b) The heat transfer rate between the two fluids
