Once the hypothalamus has detected low levels of calcium in the bloodstream, describe the full cascade of events that leads to low bone density.

Also describe the cascade that allows the dairy product to contribute to circulating levels of calcium, and how that prevents demineralization of bones.

Why does drinking skim milk or eating plain broccoli (also high in calcium) not contribute to circulating calcium as much as drinking whole milk or eating broccoli covered in cheddar cheese?
