An application of a key concept covered in the reading would be the systems theory, using this approach would advocate for a multifaceted approach addressing the root causes instead of the surface level problems. Understanding the root cause is the real problem, it is really hard to pinpoint a single reason every individual is homeless because every individual had a different background and ended up on the street for a different reason. So instead of digging all the way at the bottom, improving the individual's life moments after they become homeless could be the best option.

For Example, if an individual is struggling and knows they are bound to be homeless and finds external housing, this could greatly increase the odds she will never end up fully homeless. Essentially solving the problem at the root. This provides a systems based approach that will not only address immediate needs for homeless but more importantly to ensure long term stability so the individual can restart their life and make it out.
