Assignment Title - Designing a Database

Student who satisfactorily completes the assignment should be able to:

1. Model real world database system using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD).

2. Convert a conceptual data model EER diagram into relational schema.

Task 1 - Design an EER diagram for a HOTEL Management System based on the below specifications.

EER diagram Requirements -

1. Include at least 7 entities, one of them is a superclass entity with two subclass entities.

2. Identify the key identifier for every entity except for subclasses.

3. Identify at least 14 simple.

4. In any entity, identify one composite attribute, one multivalued attribute and one derived attribute.

5. Identify relationships and cardinalities between entities.

6. Provide relationship name for every relationship.

7. For each superclass and subclasses, provide specialization and subclass constraints.

Task 2 - Convert the below EER Model to Relational Schema (Self Study).
