Part 1 : Investor Presentation Support
You are put in charge of a presentation to provide a potential investor (me) with information on your company. Help me to understand the important information behind this company and provide me with the information on my decision making on whether or not to invest. While this project does not have you create the actual presentation, you are to create an Excel workbook that would support the information that goes into that powerpoint presentation. Note: I am not expecting a powerpoint to be submitted, but rather an excel workbook, in good form, highly organized with the information requested below.
Provide your client with the following information: (This is what you hand in to me/what you must do)
A) Choose a public, CLEVELAND/AKRON/(or) COLUMBUS based company that you did NOT use for Project 1. Note: Be careful when you are making your selection. You want to make sure the information listed below is easy to find (i.e. refer to the link from Sherwin Williams above so you can see a great example) (25 pts)
B) Provide An Excel-based, multi-sheet, data file with the following information (6 tabs within 1 workbook):
• A chart with historical stock information (25 pts)
• A bar graph of sales trends (or operating income or EBITDA, depending on what the Company bases their successes on) (25 pts)
• A pie chart with sales by segment (or product line or geographical data) (25 pts)
• Re-create the company’s most recent Income statement (30 pts)
• Based on the income statement, project sales for the following year using formulas you write in excel. Be sure to provide information/backup on the assumptions you made (i.e. “I projected sales to increase by X% because…) (40 pts)
• 1 tab using pertinent information of you choice (i.e. use of cash chart, financial highlights chart, comparison to other companies in the industry chart or excel spread…make sure you “show off” what you have learned to do in Excel)
