Topic - Investigation of Ductility properties in Reinforced Concrete

Aim of the Project:

The purpose of this investigation is to study the ductility properties of the reinforced concrete. This research will explore the factors that affect the ductility. The project will compare the strength and ductile behaviour between high grade and normal steel, normal steel and fibre reinforced plastic material. One of the major aim of this paper is to study the moment redistribution to enhance the moment of structures so that ductility and strength will be achieved.

Primary objectives:

To investigate the ductility of reinforced concrete for high grade steel.
To study the effect of Fibre Reinforced polymer regarding strength and ductility.
To study the effect of ductility to moment redistribution.

Secondary Objectives:

To study the advantages of ductility in the design reinforced concrete beam
To identify the factors affecting ductility properties.
To obtain the general knowledge of design ensuring sufficient strength and ductility
To explore the ductility factor with respect to moment-curvature and displacement
