Background

DevOpsis a set of practices that combinessoftware development(Dev) and IT operations(Ops) in order to shorten thedevelopment life cycleand providecontinuous delivery of software with high system quality.

You work in an information technology (IT) development role for a medium sizedcompany called FinQuest that specialises in delivering financial services. FinQuestcurrently uses an agile system development approach and believes that this has allowed them to develop systems more rapidly without compromising quality.They are, however, aware that DevOps is becoming an increasingly popular approach to system development and believe that they should consider combining it with their current development approach.

You have been asked to investigate how the company can do that. The chief information officer would like you to produce a report that helps them to progress this change towards a greater emphasis on DevOps.To successfully complete this assignment, you should first identify and read resources that give you more understanding of DevOps. You should then identify resources that discuss the integration of DevOpsandagile development (e.g. IT industry web sources, journal and conference papers). Then create a report based on what you have found out. The report will be used internally at FinQuest, so should be written in a style that will be accessible to IT professionals.

Format Guidelines
1. Your report should be clearly written in language suitable for IT professionals to understand.
2. Your report should be around 1500 words in length.
3. Your report should have the following structure to ensure that it presents the information in a logical and useful way:
• Title page, with a title that clearly reflects its contents.
• Table of contents. This must be generated using the Word Table of Contents feature.
• Introduction.This section shouldintroduce the purpose of the report.
• Overview of DevOps. This section should provide some background information on DevOps for readers who are not very familiar with it
• Potential benefits. This section should discuss the potential benefits that FinQuest could achieve from integrating agile development process and DevOps.
• Potential problems. This section should discuss the potential problems that can occurwhen integrating agile development process and DevOps. This should provide a basis for the recommendations in the next section.
• Recommendations. This section should provide explicit guidance that will help your company to successfully integrate agile development process and DevOps.
