It will also empower the client to take an active role in addressing the challenges and finding effective solution. Theoretical approach The SSW will use the client centered and trauma informed care in their approach to working with the client. the client -centered approach also known as person -centered therapy, is a humanistic approach to therapy developed by psychologist Carl Rogers. It emphasizes the importance of the client's subjective experience, anatomy and self-determine (Mayer 2011). This theory will help the student create a safe and supportive environment for the client to explore their thoughts, feelings and experience without fear or rejection.
