I intend to create a newspaper article describing slave experience in the 1800s. The newspaper article will include information about horrible experiences slaves endured and information about famous slaves.

I will use my textbook (Tindall and Shi), Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl (Jacobs), and the article "Slavery in America" by Ronald L. F.

Based on themes from either Heart of Everything or Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, construct a creative project. Ideas might include:

Fact Sheet - create a list (bullet points are fine) of 20 facts that will help you construct your creative portion. This might include general historical information about the time period, bits of trivia, specific names/dates/places, and analytical quotes. Please number your facts.

Creative Portion - The best part! Include images, clever formatting, and enough detail to prove your research. You can either upload a digital version or, if you have drawn by hand, take a photo and upload that. Save any digital versions (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, whatever, as a PDF so I will definitely be able to open it).

Works Cited - Cite all six sources (Textbook + Monograph + 4 sources = 6 sources) in proper Chicago format (use BibMe for help if you like).
