An antenna having an input impedance on transmission of 70+j30 ohms is used on reception by connecting directly to a 50 ohms transmission line which is perfectly matched to a pure resistance load. The effective area is 0.40 m^2. Find the power transfer to the load if the antenna is in a plane wave field of 100 u V/m. Compare this with power that could be obtained with a conjugate match to the antenna impedance?
