Question

Is without question when an individual uses an encrypted device they want to keep their information private. And in the United States, along with freedom of speech, we also have a freedom of privacy with that being said encrypted messages are gray area when it comes to search warrants because a true encrypted message is immune to even government interference. My gut tells me that the government requiring encrypted device manufacturers to hardwire in a back door for search warrant is a complete overstep, but when I consider terrorism in other organized crime, I think it may be a necessary evil. All of this being said, I would take the stance that the government requiring encrypted message manufacturers to hardwire in a search warrant access would be a good thing for overall public safety and stopping organized crime and terrorism. Even though we are risking my freedom of speech by doing so. Another thing that left wondering when it comes to encrypted messages is that I work in an industry or multi million contracts are awarded by fractions of percent indifference between competition. That being said, our information is extremely valuable, and we use things such as VPN to ensure that our data is not being captured by others.
