To increase awareness of cultural competence, assumptions, biases, and stereotypes.

Assignment Requirements:

Part One:

Perform an internet search on cultural competence, assumptions, biases, and stereotypes. Locate at least three peer reviewed references.

Part Two:

From the information that you have located create a Power Point presentation. Your presentation must include the following:

At least four slides that explains cultural competence and its importance
At least three slides that explains assumptions - at least one slide must contain examples
At least three slides that explains biases - at least one slide must contain examples
At least three slides that explains stereotypes - at least one slide must contain examples
A title slide and a reference slide
Slides must be presentation ready

Easy to read - at least 24 point font
Contain speaker notes (Use notes section)
Contain graphics
Background and font colors are not distracting from the materials being presented.
