Question: Living in this world but our not being of it, being of Christ in the world, continually places us in this tension, which requires our continual openness to the leading of the Spirit. To what extent do we engage the same forms (contextualization), but endow them with different values (function/purpose). For example, marriage - we take on the same form, even getting married legally in our union being recognized by the state. However, we endow marriage with a very different set of values, commitments, etc. This applies to other areas of life as well - the way we shop, work, engage in social relationships, etc.

In what ways do we live fully within culture, being part of the culture, but demonstrate that a different reality shapes our lives?
