The purpose also includes the Importance of considering alternative solutions and Importance of public input and reporting of decision making. SEA provides a structured decision making framework, aiming to support more effective and efficient decision making for sustainable development.It adds value to existing country systems and reinforces their effectiveness by assessing and building capacity for institutions and environmental management systems (DAC Guidelines).
