Your Task
Create a presentation to discuss a technology or analytics-based disruptor of accounting, economics, or finance. This presentation is to be completed as a group.

Assessment Description

Technology and analytics are disrupting the accounting, finance, and economics professions. We provide links to several case studies which illustrate the impact that a particular technology or analytics issue has had on a specific function in these professions, e.g. blockchain and security, artificial intelligence and
document checking.

Your group is required to select one (1) of the following cases to review and present to the class:

Part 1: Slide creation

Slide format should be as follows:
Title, group names and IDs. (1 slide)
Introduce the case study including challenges in the context of its environment (eg country, finance sector). Ensure that you have clearly outlined the problem being solved with the analytics and technology. (2 slides)

*Explain what is being done, for example, how changes are being made, issues addressed in detail, action taken, e.g. what fintech companies are doing in Nigeria, how COVID impacted European banks. (5 slides)

Summarise the key take aways and impact of the technology or analytics in the context of the story provided in the case study, e.g. technology has sped up transaction rates, provided wider access to financial markets for those in developing countries......etc. (1 slide)

Add your own recommendation, alternative solutions, extensions, modifications, etc. to what was presented in the article as recommendations and solutions. (1 slide)

(8 min each group + 2 minutes for questions)

Present your work to the class. The presentation should be no more than 8 minutes.
Not all members of the group are required to present. Those not presenting should be ready to answer questions in the Q&A section of the presentation.
