Question: For this assignment, students will examine leadership in disruptive and turbulent times. Most often this is when effective change management is led by the action-oriented visionaries. When leading through disruption, there is a concept often applied, known as "Asymmetrical Conflict." Conflict that is asymmetrical is out of balance, not fair, or unequal. It has long been a term coined in military operations considered asymmetrical warfare. In this article Ben Sherwood of Disney explains how leaders must utilize unconventional approaches when the battle will most certainly be won by the stronger, mightier (and larger) opponent if only conventional tactics are used. In other words: think differently. The Disney leader goes on to explain in "asymmetrical conflict" an unconventional tactic or innovative approach utilized by the "weaker" side results in the weaker side winning 61% of the time.

Which are you or which do you think you are most likely to become, if required to choose? An Agitator? An Innovator? An Orchestrator?

A short, brief oral presentation is acceptable for this assignment (3 to 5 minutes in length). No slides or visuals are necessary. Students are to record themselves speaking directly to the camera, and upload the recording into Canvas. Students are encouraged to speak in first person, making the submission personal and reflective. Identify which type of leader you'd most likely be, synthesize what that type means from the module's content, and explain why you believe it is the best fit for you.
