Assignment:
Jack is at a local nightclub with his friend Rod. They're enjoying drinks and listening to the live music when a very attractive woman wearing a low-cut dress approaches them. She introduces herself as "Ethel", Jack invites her to join them. Throughout the evening she comes on hard to Jack making frequent physical contact with him. As their night comes to a close Rod takes off, but Jack decides to invite Ethel back to his apartment. Ethel stays over and the two end up having sex. The next morning, they exchange contact information and Ethel goes on her way. Within an hour after departing Ethel calls Jack and asks him how the night went. Jack found the immediacy of the call a little odd but didn't mind talking to her again.
The next morning while Jack was on his way to work, he found a gift basket left from a "Secret Admirer" on his doorstep. While at work Jack received several phone calls from Ethel but decided to not answer them since he was trying to focus on his work, he figured he'd call her in the evening. However, right as Jack returned from his lunch break, he found Ethel waiting for him in the lobby of the building. She had tears streaming down her face, she explained to Jack how distraught she was that Jack was ignoring her! Jack explained that he had to work but swore he was planning on calling her that evening!
Unsatisfied Ethel stormed out, not before screaming, "it's rude to screw someone and not return their calls!" loud enough for the whole lobby to hear. That evening Ethel called again; Jack opted not to answer. This time she left a message, she was in tears, this time upset that she ruined the close relationship that her and Jack had formed! At this point Jack decided that it would be best that the relationship not go any further. He called Ethel back and apologized for the miscommunication and any pain he caused her but explained that he was not looking to start a relationship. This resulted in a series of angry phone calls mixed with calls of Ethel threatening to kill herself if Jack did not meet her.
