Question: You are a PR Specialist working for a Marketing and PR Agency. The PR Manager has asked you to make an analysis of a PR case study, and identify whether you thought PR practices and functions were used effectively or not, and how and why they were effective or not. You are then to make a article for their website.
It can be a PR issue or campaign that is happening now, has recently happened or has happened in the past few years. Assume the targeted audience are clients of the agency.
The article must include the following information:
The name of the PR Case Study
The issue/problem.
Who was involved, and were they part of the problem or solution?
Where did this occur and was the location relevant?
When did this initially happen?
What PR practices and tools were used, how were they used and were they effective?
Was the issue/problem solved? if so, when was it solved? If it wasn't resolved, why not?
Was this a positive or negative outcome?
Using strategic thinking, what would have been your proposed solution to this issue/problem? What PR practices and tools would you have used? Please share your reasons why your solution or tools would have been more effective?
Think about the opening paragraph of your article. What will get their attention and what will resonate with your audience? What will be interesting, helpful or relevant to them? Your writing should be professional yet conversational. Make it engaging, accessible and compelling enough to make them want to keep reading.
Your headline MUST include the name PR case study and the issue. And you must include at least 3 sub-heads - these can be in the form of a question or statement.
As well, you MUST reference any information that is not yours. You're allowed to paraphrase (i.e., as per Linda Stanley, she said...) but you must indicate who said it or the source for that information (website, social media, etc.).
