Frankston City Council aims to further develop Frankston City as a visitor destination and to improve its liveability for residents. One of the current developments in Frankston's CBD is the redevelopment of the Bayside Shopping Centre (www.baysidesc.com.au), which is owned by Vicinity, a leading retail property group. The centre consists of over 250 stores, including a Myer department store. In order to be better able to decide what changes to propose for the Bayside Shopping Centre, these three entities - Myer, Vicinity and the Frankston City Council - each seek to understand the contribution of the Myer store to the satisfaction of visitors and residents of Frankston.

Although they focus on different aspects of satisfaction with the Myer store, they are all interested to have information gathered regarding consumer visits to this store and the level of consumer satisfaction, and they each want to commission a research project. 

Q1: a) Identify three sources of secondary or syndicated data that as a researcher you would be able to utilize to define the research problem, frame research questions and hypotheses on this management decision problem. 

b) For each source, 1) provide a one sentence description of what relevant information it can offer, 2) provide a reference or web link to the source. 

Q2: a) By following lecture slide no 13 of week 2, develop a customer satisfaction model by specifying four variables that should be measured in order to assess and understand visitor and/or residents' satisfaction with a department store. 

b) For each variable in your model, explain in no more than two sentences why you think this is a relevant variable to consider for this project. 

c) For each of your variables, indicate in no more than two sentences whether the inclusion of the variable is supported by the following sources: 

(1) the information you gathered from the discussions and activities held in week 2,

(2) the information about satisfaction measurements posted on Moodle in this week's introductory lesson.

Q3: If for your project (for either of Myer department stores, Vicinity shopping centres or the Frankston City Council - or alternative client organisation in your own city) you plan to conduct a focus group consisting of eight participants: 

a) What would be the screening criteria for selecting the focus group respondents. 

b) What would be your list of objectives to uncover information? Include at least three broad objectives.
