Identify a theoretical model you followed, and what might be the next steps you would take in working with this student/client. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy continues to be my favorite theory. Working with Rachelle, she continues to focus on her irrational belief that she will follow in her parents path of failure in relationships. Her parents marriage catastrophe truly left a tremendous impact on her psychologically. Not in a good way. Years later, she still has not overcome such painful felings of fear of attachment and commitment scholarly sources no more than five years old.
