Assignment: You will submit your proposed work to analyze to the Discussion Topic. You will listen to works from Disney's Fantasia on Spotify.com and choose one work for your final written musical exploration. After listening to the piece of music, you will identify the composer of the work chosen and his historical time period. Your submission should be 1-2 paragraphs. Include your reasoning for selecting this piece. A playlist for Spotify.com, that has all the compositions conveniently in one place, is available in this document. Spotify offers a free account so that you may use the service. Specifically the following critical elements must be addressed: I. Proposed Work: Choose a work from the list below and identify the composer of the work selected, the historical time period, and why you selected this piece. Spotify Playlist (Spotify is free) Please note that some selections include more than one movement or part, such as Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Beethoven's Symphony "Pastorale," and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.
