  • BP: 148/88 mm Hg, repeat 146/86 mm Hg (hypertension not treated)
  • Labs: FBG 88 mg/dL, A1C 5.8%, SCr 1.2; hepatic transaminases, urinary analysis, prostate-specific antigen, and colonoscopy - all WNL
  • Lipid panel: TC 192 mg/dL, HDL-C 46 mg/dL, TAGs 180 mg/dL, LDL-C 110 mg/dL, non-HDL-C 146 mg/dL
  • Px History: BMI 26 kg/m2, waist circumference 100.6 cm, (+) tobacco (1.5 pack-year history), (+) EtOH 2 drinks/week, no formal exercise
  • Family history is complicated by tobacco and alcohol abuse. He is aware of DM and ASCVD in the family, although details are limited
