Reread the psalm you chose for phase 1.

Slowly work through your psalm, one verse at a time. Take notes on the poetic texture of your psalm. Identify significant words, images, and figures of speech. Note also the author's use of parallelism and its effect on the beauty and meaning of the poem. Use Ryken as a guide, especially chapters 1-4.
