Problem

Scenario:

I. A person who is in a leadership or consultant role for an actual public or nonprofit organization. It is recommended that the organization you select employs a minimum of five and a maximum of 300 people. The focus will be on ethical decision making and the social justice implications for this organization.

II. Select the organization, one that must be either nonprofit or public (governmental). Any organization except one that is "for profit." It can be a place where you were employed, one in which you were involved as a volunteer, an organization with which you are familiar, and/or one in which you are interested.

III. The organization selected-including its mission, goals, org chart, culture, policies, procedures, etc.-

Title "The Ethical Dilemma"

1) Select and describe a public or nonprofit organization, and identify its mission, vision, general structure, brief history, and key stakeholders.

2) Identify one ethical dilemma that currently challenges-or is expected to challenge-the organization. Do not identify multiple ethical matters. Focus on only one ethical dilemma and its relevant elements. Get the instant assignment help.

3) Explain the need for a decision that requires action on the part of the organization.

4) Process the issue through the lens of philosophical foundations for ethical decision making (either deontological or teleological). For example, does this issue involve an organization's failure to follow moral laws and the Golden Rule, either by its actions or lack of action? That is, does the issue involve universal principles related to right and wrong and categorical imperatives as articulated by Immanuel Kant? Or does current organizational policy or the actions of individuals result in harm for too many people instead of achieving the greatest good for the greatest number (i.e., the philosophy of Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill)?
