Instructional design is the process by which learning products and experiences are designed, developed, and delivered. These learning products include online courses, instructional manuals, video tutorials, learning simulations, etc. Instructional design models are used to systematically develop effective learning experiences. This week, you will explore various instructional design theories and models that you may use to develop engaging learning experiences.
Select a clinical population health topic to be the subject matter of the course you will develop. Your instructor may provide you with feedback on the topic if it is too broad or too narrow. Ask for guidance if you need it. Each week, you will work on sections of this course. By the end of Week 6, you will have planned out the entire course.
Review the rubric assignment, including the point distribution for grading.
Research instructional design models and theories, including the ADDIE model.
