You are required to complete analyses of the organisational environment to develop an understanding of potential competitors and allies, and the associated risks and benefits.
Complete a value chain analysis, PEST and SWOT for your organisation, plus analyses of the potential competitors and allies supplied in the case study.
Procedure
For the provided case study, you are required to complete for your organisation:
1. PEST analysis (including a review of legislation impacting on MacVille).
2. SWOT analysis (including an evaluation of the value-chain).
You are also required to review competitors/allies to MacVille, as described in the case study, and:
3. Identify and describe existing and potential competitors/allies, then summarise the strengths and weaknesses of each.
4. Develop a separate summary statement for each potential ally for a co-operative venture that describes their alignment with MacVille's vision, mission, values and attributes, as identified on the tender document.
Once you have developed these materials, you need to meet with your supervisor (your assessor) to discuss and confirm the analyses you have completed, together with the summary of potential co¬operative venture allies. Take notes in the meeting with your supervisor and make any changes as suggested by them, before submitting your final version.
Heat transfer is negligible are kinetic and potential energy
: Steam at 550 lbf/in.2, 70 oF enters a turbine operating at steady state and exits at 1 lbf/in.^2. The turbine produces 500 hp. For the turbine, heat transfer is negligible as are kinetic and potential energy effects.

Find the steady state temperature in the plate
: You have a 2 dimensional (just X&Y) square plate with sides measuring a=24. The upper and lower sides of the plate are perfectly insulated, but the right and left sides are not. The left side is kept at 0°C and the right side is kept at f(y) °C. Find..

Determine the maximum rate of heat removal from the house
: An air conditioning system is used to maintain a house at 70F when the temperature outside is 90F. If the air conditioning system draws 5 hp of power when operating, determine the maximum rate of heat removal from the house that it can provide.
