Assignment: Analysis of Community Issue
Length: 1,500 words.
Task
Identify an issue of concern in your community of interest and use a method of inquiry to explore and explain the issue.
Write an essay addressing the following:
• why you decided to use this method,
• who presented the issue,
• how it was defined,
• whose interest is/are affected by the issue, and
• the underlying reasons of the issue.
Preparation
Keep a daily journal (for at least 8 - 10 days) of the processes you used in your inquiry with reference to the method that is chosen. An online journal has been set up for you for this task. You can link to your Journal link from the 'Learning With Others' section in the menu.
Your final journal entry should include a summary/conclusion of the findings of your inquiry, and implications for community work practice.
The journal entries should form the basis of your written essay.
Presentation
Your journal should be presented as a series of daily entries in the online journal set up for this task.
Your essay should be presented as a Word document, font size 12.
Any references should be formatted in CDU Harvard Referencing style.
