Goal I: Increase knowledge and awareness among housing authorities and landlords about the challenges faced by individuals affected by substance use and criminal histories.
Objective I: By the end of the first year of implementation, conduct a series of educational workshops for at least 20 housing authorities and landlords, providing them with information and resources to reduce bias and increase understanding regarding individuals with complex backgrounds.
Goal II: Improve housing accessibility and affordability for individuals affected by substance use and criminal histories through financial support and ongoing services.
Objective II: Within the first year, provide financial guarantees for rental payments and damage deposits for a minimum of 25 individuals transitioning into housing. Additionally, establish ongoing support services, including case management, counseling, and referrals to community resources, for these individuals to promote housing stability and self-sufficiency.
