Assume that mammalian cells are grown in culture in the prescence of fluorescent nucleotides for several generations so that all of the DNA in all the chromosomes is fluorescent. When these cells are examined under a microscope, all of the chromosomes in the nucleus glow. If one of these cells is placed in regular media for one generation, how will the chromosome of the daughter cells look?
