Question: Last week the Health Department gave the restaurant at a local hotel as 64 percent rating with a warning to fix the problems or be shut down. The hotel general manager chewed out the restaurant manager who chewed out the kitchen manager, who chewed out the entire staff. Everyone had to work overtime to get things into shape before the Health Department returned. Three days later the restaurant got an 85% with a repeat inspection planned in three months.
The incident left everyone shaken up. Nearly everyone is now upset with management and they are worried about their jobs.
You are the new assistant restaurant manager and you have been assigned to getting things in shape and ensuring that the next Health Department inspection is 100%.
