This module taught you how to negotiate access to participants and get permission to conduct an applied research study at specific locations. Researchers should secure permission to conduct their applied research studies and understand the conditions associated with approval.

Tasks:

In a minimum of 300 words, post to the Discussion Area your response to the following:

• Review the six-step checklist on negotiating access.

• Answer each of the questions based on the location of your applied research project.

• Describe the obstacles and/or resources that will impact your ability to conduct your applied research study in your desired location.

• Use at least two scholarly citations and cite the sources in the body of your work using APA standards.

• Prepare a reference list.

Support your rationale and analysis by using at least two resources from professional literature in your response. Professional literature may include the Argosy University online library resources, relevant textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles, and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (websites ending in .edu or .gov).
