A particular air conditioner can remove heat from a room at a rate of 150 W. Heat is also added to the room through heat conduction with a 15 m^2 panel of windows. How thick should the window pane be in order for the air conditioner to exactly remove the heat coming in through the window if it is 27 C inside and 36 C outside? Assume heat is only exchanged with the room through the air conditioner and the window and that the thermal conductivity of glass is 0.8 W/(mK). Should the air conditioner be replaced, explain?
