Generating research ideas about a phenomenon is important in order to design a study to answer relevant questions. Qualitative research often is dense and 'rich' in detail making relationships and connections difficult to identify. In Unit 2 we discussed how the use of a concept map can help to organize and visualize relationships and patterns and simplify operationalizing qualitative research questions.

Give an example of a phenomenon that you could design a qualitative research study to address. Describe how you would use concept mapping and how you use concept mapping to identify stakeholders and participants. Please state the question you will answer with qualitative data and explain why the use of this methodology will provide useful data that can enhance quantitative analysis. Are there any ethical issues which would need to be considered in using qualitative research to address this question?
