Health Related Problem (Educational) at my Workplace Requiring Attention

Health Related Problem

Providing best quality care to patient is the primary responsibility of care providers. However the main health related problem that is identified at my workplace is concerning the educational knowledge of the professionals. It is identified that the general practitioners are not highly experienced and there were major issues noted on their part in providing care to patients. There are issues identified in terms of negligence on the part of care providers such as leaving pieces of clothes inside the patient while doing surgeries, or providing wrong treatments. They are not educationally sound enough in terms of their knowledge and probably the lower experience in providing treatments. This has raised significant level of concerns presently as there is increasing number of patients complaining against such negligence. As being a care provider, it is crucial that there must be adequate level of importance provided to ensuring the delivery of best quality of care. But the inefficiency in respect to the knowledge of care provider is causing significant strains on the reputation of the healthcare services (Potter, Perry, Stockert and Hall, 2016).

Question that can be Addressed by Research

As the problem of negligence on the part of care providers is identified as significant and having an adverse impact on the health performance of patients at large, an important question that could help in resolving this issue through undertaking research practice is indicated as follows:

How the practical knowledge of care providers can be enhanced in allowing them in providing best quality treatment to their patient? (Weishapple, 2001). This question is likely to address the issue in a positive way by way of identifying strategies and practices in particular for general practitioners.
