Assignment: Articles of Confederation
Articles of Confederation: The Articles of Confederation was the first written constitution that was used for the United States. "Under these articles, the states remained sovereign and independent, with Congress serving as the last resort on appeal of disputes" (History.com, 2018, para. 1). The United States Congress wanted to make sure that they had a stronger union against Great Britain. This also permitted Congress to make sure that our nation remained sovereign and free. Despite all that the Articles of Confederation had to offer America there were some issues with these new laws.
