It's a scorching summer day out (32.0° C) and two students are standing on a bridge that spans a distance of 200 m. The students are 110 m apart from one another and have bowling balls that they are holding over the railing. 25.0 m below the bridge is another student sitting in a stationary boat - relaxing and enjoying the day. The student in the boat is situated between the two at an unknown distance between each. One of the students drops their bowling ball from the bridge. The other student waits 2.00 seconds and then throws their ball upwards into the air at 5.00 m/s. The person in the boat hears the one ball splash 2.50 seconds after they see it being dropped (assume the light reaches them instantly). According to the student in the boat, how much time was there between splashes? Include a clearly labelled diagram. You may want to look up how to calculate the speed of sound in air given a certain temperature.
