The optimal coherent receiver for repetition coding with L branches of diversity is a maximal ratio combiner. For implementation reasons, a simpler receiver one often builds is a selection combiner. It does detection based on the received signal along the branch with the strongest gain only, and ignores the rest. For the i.i.d. Rayleigh fading model, analyze the high SNR performance of this scheme. How much of the inherent diversity gain can this scheme get? Quantify the performance loss from optimal combining.
When the body metabolizes glucose water and carbon dioxide are produced according to the following equation. C6H12O6 + 6 O2 --> 6 CO2 + 6 H2O If 0 g of glucose are metabolized with excess oxygen
Three Phase Transformer over Single Phase Transformer ?
Based on these equations, determine the maximum power point. This is the value of and T that result in maximum power. State the power and the (,T) values. Do not assume this happens at 0.5T. The best way to do this is to make an Excel spreadsheet.
Using verilog, write the code and test bench for a 4 bit shift register where if L=1 the register is loaded with R. When L goes low the contents of the registers are shifted towards the right and the MSB of the register is loaded with W.
A 2.4KV, single-phase circuit suppllies a load of 250KW at a lagging power factor, and the load current is 160A. If it is necessary to improve the power factor, determine the following: (a)The uncorrected poer factor and reactive load.
The average power used by the resistor is what you pay to the electric company, but there is also reactive power for which you do not. The complex power supplied to the circuit is defined as: P = ½ V s I*
Design a low pass active filter such that its roll off attenuates frequency components a 10kHz or more by more than 30 db. This means that the magnitude of the transfer function (in db) at frequency 10kHz should be -30db or less
Two batteries with voltages in opened circuit V1 and V2 and with internal resistencies R1 and R2, respectively are connected in parallel with themselves and with a load resistance R. a) Find the current that goes through the load resistance.
A Si p+-n junction has the following parameters at 300K: taup = taug = 10-6 s, ND=1015 cm-3, and NA=1019 cm-3. Plot diffusion current density, generation current (Jgen) and total reverse current (JR) as a function
Since its founding in 1926, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has been an influence on early education in the United States, but never so strongly as it has been since it began writing position statements in the 198..
The output voltage of an AM transmitter is given by 500(1+.4sin3140t)sin6.28x107t. This voltage is fed to a load of 800 ohms. Determine the following. The carrier frequency The modulating frequency
Assume dual rail logic. Dual rail logic means that both a variable and its complement are available as inputs to the logic block, such that an inverter is not needed to generate B' from B.
