A standing wave on atight string experiment is set up in the laboratory. One endof the string is attached to an oscillator that vibrates with a frequency of 60 Hz. The other end of the string passes over apulley and is attached to a mass. The distance between theoscillator and the pulley is 1.2 m. When the oscillator isturned on, six loops are observed on the string. The linearmass density of the string is 1.4 g/m.
