A compressor raises the pressure of 3kg of air (γ = 1.4) adiabatically from (100kPa, 288K) to 450kPa. The electric motor driving this compressor looses 15kj of heat to the surroundings during this process. How much energy was input to the motor to perform this task? When the compressed air returns to room temperature, what will be its pressure?
