Suppose that the proper half life of a certain type of particle is 1.8μs. These particles are produced at one end of a pipe 500 m long, and they are traveling at 0.95c. A detector at the end where theparticles are produced detects 800 particles being produced in one hour. How many particles would be detected in one hour at the other end of the pipe?
