Would you agree that behavioral therapy has evolved to add the cognitive aspect because it was found that in order to have long term effects you need to have a change not only in behavior but in the mindset. I mean basically if we can change how we view and understand our behaviors we can then realize how the influence our actions. If we can stop and think before we act many times we can keep from acting out and getting in trouble.

3. If the behavior approach can increase or decrease a behavior how does that help in the criminal justice arena? If it can be used to deter crime yet not address the root of the issue how is it successful long term?

4. When working with individuals, it is important to ensure that you understand important factors, which define their overall focus within a given environment. Therefore, behavior approach provides a better environment where key issues within a given area of focus can be significantly outlined and effectively dealt with in providing a better environment where better decision consideration can be made. The criminal justice arena is a very sensitive environment, and thus there is significant need to ensure better decisions are made. This approach, therefore, focuses on direct development on client progress in the court process. It ensures that key aspects are considered in creating a better environment where client progress can be effectively developed.

Therefore, behavior approach provides a better environment where key issues within a given area of focus can be significantly outlined and effectively dealt with in providing a better environment where better decision consideration can be made.
