1) How does HIV evade most of our modern drug therapies? What new therapies could be used in light of the CCR5 finding?

2) Think of a particular genetic mutation or make up a genetic mutation and give examples of how this mutation could be beneficial or a hindrance. Give specific examples of conditions in which this mutation would help and instances in which the mutation would hurt a certain population. These conditions could relate to environment, weather, disease, time in history, etc.

3) Research mutations or cell structures that were first used for one purpose and later used for another purpose once a mutation or adaptation occurred. Give an example, and explain what this structure or mutation was used for in organisms that had this particular trait.

4) HIV and humans are a prime example of coevolution happening within modern time. Give another example of coevolution involving humans. There are several other examples of mutations being beneficial to humans. Note: coevolution refers to the influence of one species on the evolution of another species.
